Re: Round 2
Buddy of mine bought a boat with a "bad engine" a few years ago for something like $4k. Put $100 into the engine and got it running and sold it for $8k. Don't remember what was wrong, but it was super simple.
My dad bought a Malibu ski boat 12 years ago for 14k. I bet its still worth 8k. Thats better than any car you all get. Dont buy crappy boats and they dont depreciate like what everyone says.
Coop
This, used boats especially hold their values very well mostly because new ski boats are cost prohibitively expensive. My parents old boat has over 2500 hours on it and still they could get close to $9k for it.

Til the newer car is more reliable than the older one.
VW has a track record of being shit after 80k. I won't trust that's changed until they have 2 generations showing a significant improvement

What's that have to do with the statement that a newer car is more reliable than the older one of the same model?
I have 2 broke down cars. 91 vr4 that hasn't had an engine since 08 and 91 Montero I bought with a rod knock that I never got to fixing.
