Nah. Just how I feel about it. Seems to drive ok. Weird rear end noise above 65 mph, but I'm thinking that's tires, exhaust, or since still running tcase drop some driveshaft stuff.

Really only worried about the oil pressure.

Was fine going to the gym but then on the way home it started to drop like that. 30 to 40 under throttle, which is normal, but below 10 at idle, which is not.

Check the connection and sender. Hard time believing it’s crapped the bed.

I assume it's the sender, or at least that is the hope.

Hooked up a mechanical guage and tested oil pressure for over an hour. Cold start was around 55 to 60 psi. After it hit 210* dropped to around 35 to 40 at idle. Let the engine run for 30 more min with occasionally revving engine to increase pressure. Continued to lower to about 23 psi. Let it run for another 20 min doing the same thing with revving the engine above every 10 to 15 min. At the end of the hour it never dropped any more than around 23 at idle. Going to put in a new sensor and see what the guage cluster says.

Still don't trust taking it on a 300+ mile trip this weekend so going to take it to/from the gym a couple times maybe next week and see what happens.

The irony off my clapped together turbo Subaru Forester with a random tapping noise being more reliable than your stockish Jeep needs to be appreciated lol.

Drove it 5 miles made a right hand turn into a driveway and swore I felt and heard a crunch come from the front right. Couldn't replicate it though. Drove it back home and took the Volt to the gym. Not in the mood to deal with it right now. Might have been nothing. Might have been something.

Ugh.

Took it for about a 75 miles drive this weekend. ~50% freeway and 50% stop/go/hills/side roads.

Oil pressure held fine. Brakes worked great. Could probably use a rear brake disc conversion eventually though, especially with the larger tires. Didn't smell like it was going to overheat. Sounds like there might be an exhaust leak though. Once warmed up you can hear the ticking. Just need to probably tighten down some bolts. Still have some driveline vibrations up around 60-70 mph, but took it up to about 85 mph and was rather smooth. Hit a bump in the road though going about 75 and that wasn't too fun. Gave me a startle. Radio, speaker, sub sound decent too. Not super high quality but a shit ton better than factory.

Comfort wise it is actually pretty good now that I put in those new seat brackets. Far more comfortable than most of the new things I sat in and of course sitting up higher and great outward visibility is always a plus. Doesn't hurt my back, plenty of leg room, etc. Only size issue is head room. Head rubs on roof and if I hit a bump too hard I smack my head pretty good.

By the time I got home I was kind of in love with the thing again.

That is until something else breaks...

Might go ahead and do the SYE soon.

Luckily the Jeep has nothing to do with my next purchase decision. Depending on what wife thinks about the final two things I am looking at will determine when/what I am buying.

Besides the SYE I think I am going to see about getting rid of some rust. Cut out that hole under the rear bumper end cap and see how bad the rust is on the rocker panel. If it hasn't gone all the way through I will sand/grind it down and put some chassis saver I have over it. If it has rusted though might look at cutting out the rockers on both sides and see if I can get someone to weld in some square tubing. Will take care of the rust and give me rock rails.
