Pick one as I wrecked my car and will pick one tomorrow

Post by DCIV »

2015 silver escape 2.0 with 90k miles. Has full sun roof.
They will throw in a warranty from PMI (horrible consumer reports reviews) for 1,095 and covers me for 60k miles on power train. Cooper tires.

2017 black escape 1.5 with 43k miles for 16,800 and had mitchilan tires.

Overall the 2017 was nicer. Duh! But it has the Smaller and worse engine but nicer tires

The 2015 drove nice, liked the power but not as nice of seats. The full sun roof was nice. But also 90k! And unknown warranty.

Have a carmax near you? Some nice Escapes on there for decent $. Don't remember what your ballpark figure was though and what years you wanted. Could get one to you if you could wait a few days. If not, then I'd say get the 1.5 with 43k.

Also, why not another CRV?

$15,600, 60k miles, AWD. It's in Nashville, and they'll transfer it to Knoxville for free.

https://www.carmax.com/car/16366134

Maxcare warranty would probably be another 1000-ish.

That's just the first one I looked at. There are more.

That one is not a 2.0, it’s the horrific 1.6

Carmax cheapest 2.0 is 70k miles and it’s 16k with 200 transfer fee.

Not really in any good price range.

The day started with me having to call in sick because my wife has confirmed flu and VERY bad off. The baby is on flu stuff as well.

Well during Christmas the swim team has a longer practice time of lifting or running/ a talk / then swim.

Since I was off I decided to put the baby down for a nap, go do the talk, and go home.

Did the talk, left the pool like I always do...did not see a person, pulled out and hit her in her passenger side. I wasn’t going over 5mph. My air bag did not deploy. Her drivers side curtain did. She was fine. She finished her cig before she got out.

For some reason I had full coverage on my crv. I think it cost me 50 more per year, had 10 years of coverage. So 500 bucks, worth about 1800 and 250 deductible. So I guess that’s the right call.

So my parents are leaving the 7th and I will have access to a 2016 crv to drive for 3 months if that helps. I might take her up on that offer but prices aren’t going to get any cheaper.

I just want the 2.0 for 14,500 with 60-70k and and not 90k. And not the 17-18k for 30k miles. But I can’t find it. Haven’t found it.

Dallas isn't bad. LA would be a pretty expensive transfer though.

No, but it's not a small amount either. Coop's pretty price sensitive, and it's not refundable unless there's a major defect with the car.

That is true. He is super price sensitive. For me personally, another $500-1000 on top of an already $15k car is nothing.

If you can't find one locally, and/or you're sick of buy-here-pay-here used car con men and craigslist jackoffs wasting your time...that's what Carmax is for.
