I felt bad for the guy who sold it to us. He was saying how he kept it nice for his dad and how it reminded him of his dad. The whole time I'm standing next to Dan's car, which embodies the term "beater", and thinking 'we're probably going to ruin your car'.
The 'new' one actually drives pretty nice for what it is. The worst thing about it is the seat cushion is blown out, so you lean towards the door a little. I truly did consider buying it for myself, but I'm holding out for a Montero.
After all the searching I've done, the Montero is really one of the nicest vehicles you can get for under 3k.
I'm going to try to keep the new 240 in decent shape. There's still hope my nephew can drive it.
