Man she is just getting broke in at 150K miles. Just do the valve cover gasket and the oil filter o-ring seal and see how she runs. My oil filter o-ring was bad too and leaving all sorts of oil on the road until i swapped it out.

My bro loves XJ's. He's had several with the 4.0. Even had one with a 2.5 4 cylinder. His most recent XJ was a headache and a half though. It decided to kill 3 or 4 CPS's in a month. He got rid of it after that.

VC gasket won't cause exhaust smoke.


Plus if he gets the wrong inspector he will fail emissions for visible smoke

Found a 2016 escape locally at a car lot. They were asking 14,999 and it had 48k on it. I went to buy it this morning. Sold it yesterday. They had it on the lot for 1 day.
