Thats a CTech Charger. Those are great quality. I own one. Can actually repair sulfates batteries, charge and trickle/maintain. Worth the buy imo.

Wait there's no way to jump start the car without getting access to the trunk? Is there a mechanical release for the trunk?

Think my volt might be the same way.

Nope. Im wrong. You can jump the volt under the hood. But if you need to jump another car you need to use the trunk points

Excellent charger. I have one. Skeptical at first but it's really good.

There's a mechanical key hole tucked up near the rear plate on the C6. Convenient as the door release is all electric buttons.
I'm betting the c7 is similar.

It is. There's a keyhole near the plate. Once you're in the trunk, there's a mechanical release for the drivers door, and you can peel back the carpet to get to the battery.Steve wrote: I'm betting the c7 is similar.
Just to be clear, I didn't buy the CTEK charger because I already have a Deltran Battery Tender.
It's interesting, because I bought the Battery Tender after seeing about a dozen cars connected to them when I visited GM's Service Programming lab back in 2006.

I've got that charger that came with my car. It is expensive for what it is, and very slow if you need to actually charge instead of just use it for storage... I use my Noco Genius G4 now, which is hooked up to my two SeaDoos, the Vette, and my garden tractor. They have a cigarette socket charging adapter for their cables too.
I got the leather pouch in the box with the photo book and driving experience invite too... That was cool to get about a week after I bought the car. I think everyone got them the first few years, and may still get them now. Not sure on that though.

That's interesting. I thought the book was only for 2014, and only for people who custom ordered the car. It's curious how there's no clear answer on that. It really makes you wonder how people have entire binders of proven documentation on cars from 30 and 40 years ago. However they came about, it's a fun thing to have.

I got mine off the lot, and so did my former boss. Both '15s, and we both got the book. I dunno... I was pretty sure that when the sale went through the GM system all the original C7 owners got that.

Yep. Spent all that time obsessing over white and red only to change it to gray and black in the end

The dates, the location, the options, the minor yet specific mods, the original selling dealer. I'll check the specific dates when I get home, but it looks like this was the original owner.
The weird thing is, he dropped off the internet in Oct 2014, right after listing the car for sale so he could buy a Z06. But seeing as I found a bunch of other posts with the same user name on BMW and gaming forums, I'd be surprised if he just stopped posting.
It's an interesting mystery.

This is the thread that got my attention. I was looking for some info on re-doing the vinyl on my roof. I saw the pic of the back of the car, noticed the "Corvette" text was missing, and decided to start digging.

Here's where it gets especially weird. His planned mods nearly match up with mine, his daily driver was an 04 Eclipse, and he didn't take it to work because he didn't want to upset his co-workers.

100% confirmed. In one thread, the guy asked Chevy customer service for an update on his order, and posted the order code.
Vira got me a reproduction of the factory build sheet for Christmas. It's got the same order code.
