You have to be kidding me!
I give up. I'm done! I quit!
I went out to the Jeep to work on my shocks (doing this all week for about an hour a night) and BPE's, and guess what I find under the Jeep?
My coolant is all over the fucking ground! There is NONE left in the reservoir! I look under the Jeep and it is not just dripping, but pouring out from where the hose connects to the engine right under the exhaust manifold / power steering pump.
Looks like I know what I am doing tomorrow! I hope to god it is just a loose hose or something.
My luck sucks! Between this, my shocks messing up on me (completely different story I don't feel like getting into at the moment), my job sucking, have $25 in the Bank, etc., I don't know how I do it, but I keep on going!

You are the man, duck!!!!
Re: You have to be kidding me!
I couldn't get spark then found melted wires up under my MJ's dashboard! I'm in the middle of swapping the engine wiring harness now, then still more repair. Fun...

I will know more tomorrow when I can see it in better light. Right now I am hoping it is just a loose hose or something. It will suck to be a bad water pump or something.

Re: You have to be kidding me!
A lot of people on Jeep Forum are saying water pump. We will see though.
Re: You have to be kidding me!
When water pump seals go bad they start leaking, usually a fast drip, out of the "weep hole" on the pump. When random leaks just develop this is most commonly the issue.

Ya, I just read that over on Jeep forum. When I checked out the water-pump replacement write-up, the one picture looked A LOT like how mine looked. At least it is only a $30-$40 part and only 3 or so hours to replace, not too bad.

Yesterday was just a really bad do for me all around and that was just the icing on the cake. I am a lot better today.
By the way, how do you tell if the water pump is bad anyway?

Re: You have to be kidding me!
If its leaking from where the water pump is located and not just 1 of the radiator hoses.. then if it hasn't been done recently, you just do it now.

Well I just got a good look at it, the bottom of the pump has the fluid on it, so I know it is not coming from the hose. Off to the part store I go to get a water pump!

I have everything installed. All I have to do is put in some coolant and hope she runs. The fluid was practically pouring from the "weep hole." I will update you all in the morning as to how it goes.

hey, what doesn't kill you makes you stronger. Glad you're hangin in there bud.
What ever happened to your previous problem (exhaust stuff, engine revving)? I've been very sporadic with my forum visits lately

On the Internet they say, "You never get this! You never get this!" But then one day they all met in Cali and they get this.
Re: You have to be kidding me!
When my water pump went out on my ford last year, i bought myself a couple more days until payday by JB Welding the weep hole. I6's are awesome for riggings like that.

Ya, this was a bad week for me for other things not only with the jeep but with money and things at home.
The exhaust and revving problems are done, and so it the water pump I hope. I just need to tighten my belt (squealing at start up) and get my new shocks installed. The bushing fell out of one and I can't get it back in for the life of me. For the past week that is all I have been trying to do.

I was able to use a credit card even though I did not want to, but I can't get paid if I can't get to work and I can't get to work without a water pump.
So as it stands now, all I have to do is get my shocks on. The back are ready to go, but the front is the one with the bushing problem. I don't have a vice, so this is making it hard. I am trying now to take it back out so I can grease it back up and try again.
