Re: I love Craigslist
Man that car is clean!
I'm sort of with Coop, I'd probably trade for the 99. I like black > red and 3000 > Stealth though.
Spill it, how much?

Your a nut. 99 black vr4 is 10x better even if yours is hard to find.

Damn coop I just got the car yesterday. I don't NEED to swap right now. I would like to enjoy this car for a bit. Do I like 99's? Yes and I plan to own one but timing has got to be right. Greg isn't going anywhere soon unless he gets the Miata boner. I'm sure he would like to finish his car.

Re: I love Craigslist
I say keep the Stealth. But that's just because I'm partial to the simplicity of the 95-96 cars, and the 2G body style in general. Everything about it is so much cleaner than the "there's no such thing as too many scoops and wings and little fish teeth in the bumper" 3000GT.
Or worse, the "round on the bottom, square on top (sail panels and wing) with a catfish face" 99 VR4.
Being a lot more rare is just bonus points
Nearly any 2G Stealth is rare compared to a 3000GT.

Whenever you use forceful and overt verbal persuasion to try to convince others to see things your way, they're probably not listening to what you say, Instead they're looking for every error in you your logic and mistakes in your facts, all the while constructing counterarguments. Worse still, they don't merely believe you're wrong; they need you to be wrong in order to protect the status quo. And since the final judge exists in their own head, you lose every time. - The Influencer

Good choice on the 96! Might as well still get a 99 to go with it.

These days I've been leaning towards rebuilding the 99 as a stock car and selling it. The Exocet is definitely a more exciting project.

Agreed. They managed to trim it down to what was functional and necessary. The added bonus as you said is that it is super rare. One day that will mean a lot.

Those are the plans. Pretty much my two favorite 3s's.

How much further do you have to go?

I could literally assemble that car right now as it is and it'd be good to go. Just need to put the inner coolers, oil cooler and turbos back on.
Swap the brakes and wheels for stockers. Slap on a 15k price tag and make some $$ off it.

Update:
96 goes back in the garage and under the covers. Out comes the Cappo. My boys like to help wash and dry the cars. Part of me has me freaking out, the other is just...proud. No damage was done.
