How do you drive?

Post by Duck Vader »

Do you drive different when you have a passenger in the car with you?

I for one do. When I am by myself I drive faster, accelerate faster, play my music louder, and always keep the windows down. When I am with someone, the music stays low, the windows are usually only opened partially depending on weather, and I obey all speed limits and accelerate like normal.

When I am by myself, I also tend to pay more attention to my surroundings since I have no one to distract me. Every "almost" wreck I have had, there was a passeger in my car.

I feel that I am a lot better driver when I am by myself, but I am more of a risk takers. I will go off-road by myself, but not as much with a passenger.

So, what about you?

Slower with the music down. Much more considerate. I won't drive faster even if they egg me on. There's just no point risking two lives to sillyness or stupidity!

I drive about the same no matter what, just like I'm riding my motorcycle, which means I assume everyone else out there is going to crash into me.

Only time I drive different is if I m going for a "drive" through some canyons, and that is usually without a passenger...I don't need anyone getting carsick in my cars

On the Internet they say, "You never get this! You never get this!" But then one day they all met in Cali and they get this.

When I have a passenger I'm more careful, won't speed...just do the speed limit. When I'm in my Z, by myself, depending on what mood I'm in, I'll drive fast, but most of the time it's pretty chill. :D

Passenger in the car I'll accelerate slower, shift smoother and that's about it. Otherwise I do things the same way as normal.

I always looked at as "if you have to change the way you drive for someone, you are driving wrong"

I usually drive more aggressive when there's other people in the car because they want to see what the car will do, whereas when I'm out by myself I more enjoy just cruising around.

Besides a 1st gear pull, I drive safer when people are with me.

Alone
sports car
motorcycle
....often when I'm able to...
prob full throttle everywhere and really revving it out in some gears. acceleration AND braking AND turning, tires may not always maintain firm contact with the road.
Of course I care about what others think at times to not be labeled "asshole drive", of course I don't want to bring extra risk to others in a vehicle with me I may be driving, you know unless they're living with me in our madness
