It'll be together this weekend...I'm sponsoring a car show next sunday (which you should try to make it to) and wanted to coat a few more things on my car just to promote it that much more. I'm also coating Brian's (flyman1981) car tomorrow.

As for the tune that will hopefully be done on the 25th and if not I have 6 hours that sunday to tune it at the track. :)

I think that's an old one...I just sponsored it so they haven't updated it yet.

Got the car back together. Had to adjust the clutch pedal a decent amount with the new one in and it engages right at the floor now, not sure if I like that so I might have to look into stuff and see if I can figure out how to change it. Just didn't feel like messing with it last night after working on it all day.

Dont change it... trust me you will come to love it. I have mine adjusted that way and its awesome. When you go to take off it doesnt take much to get moving, just have to get used to it. If you let up too quickly like you would with a stock setup you will bog out a bit (at least mine does). Best part is watching anyone else try to drive your car and they kill it 2 or more times before they figure it out. Everytime I drive someone elses car and I have to lift so high on the clutch for it to engage I want to scream, maybe im lazy but i like it to engage right off the floor.

My cars to do list -- I want streetable DD power. Plan to get it tuned in running BPU then slowly move the boost and fuel up to around
VSS
Lifters
550 or 660cc injectors
SAFCII
Wideband 02
full 3" exhaust & DP

--- little later on
120k tune up
FMIC or DSM SM's
rob beck wrx turbos
heads and cams
meth injection

the problem with that is if you aren't fully disengaging the clutch, you're gonna wear out parts in your transmission faster.
Watch out! With no timing control and large injectors, you will run into all sorts of problems on stock turbos! Of course I am assuming you don't have timing control ... I could be wrong. :o

For what you want and what it seems you're willing to spend, I highly suggest a CFDS. :)
I plan to go E-manage later on, seriously, I just want to get some power right now. I am torn at the moment and still deciding which direction to go to start.

I can get the E-manage ultimate, Wideband and the VSS and lifters... Get the boomslang harness to wire it in. Work on learning the software and then later on put in injectors knowing more of what I am doing.

Or I can go with the injectors and an SAFCII, wideband and the VSS and lifters, get a good DD tune on it. Then once I get the Turbos I can turn up the boost and work the tune over and once that is done look at trading up to the E-manage. Yes I will lose a little money but I get more bang for the buck to start with and I get a better idea of how to tune the car in.

I dont plan to tune for more than the 1 bar I am running now, just want to have everything in place to move to the next level when I am ready. I think of the SAFC as a starting point and a good learning area. Install the SAFC and get a good base tune with my stock injectors. Once I have done that I can look at putting the larger injectors in and work it out again. I will do the same with the e-manage, just if I get the e-manage I wont be getting the injectors for a few months. I know the stock injectors are pretty much maxxed out on our engines when the boost hits around 16psi.

I do also plan to include a fuel pump and a hotwire in this setup and I know I didnt list it. The money is burning a hole in Danyels pocket so I need to purchase something now... she started sending me links to new furniture she likes yesterday, my money is on the line.

I really want some expert advice here so please tell me guys... give me ideas on what to do before the woman spends my mod money. For the last 2 years I have taken too long to figure out what to get and she has spent my mod money balance every time.
the problem with that is if you aren't fully disengaging the clutch, you're gonna wear out parts in your transmission faster.
It fully disengages as far as I can tell. Here is what I know. If I rev the engine while clutched I can push the shifter up to the edge of the gear and not feel it moving. From time to time I have a small issue with first not engaging so I let up on the clutch and then i can shift it into gear smoothly. I could force it into gear when it does that but I dont like forcing anything on my tranny. To actually take off I do have to lift, just its not as far up as stock. I would say foot travel is about 1-1.5" from the floor to begin engaging. Where stock was closer to 2.0-2.5" to engage. In addition my TOB rattles when the clutch is not depressed, when the clutch is depressed about 1" from the top the rattle goes away so I would say my clutch is engaging well. Also dont worry it is a new TOB it just decided to get noisy one day and I dont feel like pulling the tranny to get rid of the sound.

I'll be picking up an engine this weekend (for free :D ) and there's a good possibility that it's good. Once I get it home I'm gonna check the compression and if it's good I'm going to throw my old 13G's on there and get the car back together (after getting some other parts as well) :) Otherwise I'm gonna tear it down and do a very basic rebuild re-using stock parts with new rings/bearings/seals and get the car running. It's not exactly the setup I want to go with but hell I want to drive the damn car lol. Than I'll have a running car that I can at least drive around while building up my original motor and get the other parts I'll want.

I just dropped my quest's gas tank, replaced hose on filler neck that was causing me to dump a little fuel on the ground every time I filled up. & hotwire fuel pump.

I had 9bs, hotwired 255, 450s, and an LS1 maf/maft, along with a wideband and scanmaster, 'tuned' to 16psi. Made for a pretty fun car
I guess if I were trying to max out a 9b setup, I would get a hotwired 255, 450cc injectors, an SAFC, and try to tune for ~16psi. You'll get a more power from timing than a 360cc car running 9b's at the same psi, since you will be running ~20% lower IDCs. I'd be worried about getting 550s or higher with 9b's, since the super-low IDCs will cause more trouble on the stock ECU.

A wideband, the VSS, and the lifters are all part of having a healthy car. And in my opinion a car should be 100% healthy before you try to make it fast. Like with my car, I am waiting to install my 550s and turn the boost past 10psi on my 13t's until I have all my fancy an fittings in my fuel system, new tires, and new brakes.

Anyway. Good luck!
That is where the difficulty lies. The car will only be on 9b's for maybe 6 months and then the turbos will be pulled and either be setup with a set of 15g's or a set of RobBecks 13t's. I dont mind driving underpowered for a while as I run wastegate most of the time anyway to deter me from putting my foot in it. Either way the fuel controller goes in first. I might just go with the emanage and get a good tune on it with the stock set up and then next go get the injectors and turbos.

I just need to pencil out my plan and see which is the better path.
Staging it would be my advice. Get the fuel pump, SAFC, and WB02/lifters/VSS whatever done first, so you have it.

Then, install the turbos and run wastegate or low boost until you're sure everything is a-ok.

Last the injectors should go in, followed by a tune.

Or at least that's how I'm doing it ... I'm up to the injector phase and now have to make the car healthy again. :)
Good advice, thats my plan. Now... SAFCII or E-manage? Obviously the E-Manage is an all around better option but for novice tuning? Granted I understand what needs to be done, I learn and follow directions well, but in the long run I have no help except those online. Only person I know that modified locally is 125 miles away and MAF-T took a batty dump at the track and helped him enter the spun bearing winners circle. So I am on my own.
