Thoughts on R/T badges for my car

Post by Jeff V. »

I might have a hookup on getting these things pretty cheap. I've been toying with the idea of doing this for a while, but can't think of a good place to put them.

I'd probably paint them gunmetal to match my door badges. Thoughts?

My other idea was to hack up an SRT badge to get just the RT portion. It'd look sort of like the attachment. I thought it might look good on the fender, or the C-pillar. It's smaller than the old style R/T badge too.

I think about all the things we could have done, all the miracles we could have achieved, if we were all just a little bit better than it turns out we are.

Seen it in person. The only place I saw that she added those badges was on the leather inserts inside her doors.

Not really my taste.

Be one of those people that puts "DODGE" in enormous letters across the top of the windshield. If there's anything that destroys a car's looks, that's it. It's like 1980's rice - you might as well get a set of sheepskin seat covers as well.

I think if it were pretty small it would look good in front of the chrysler emblem on the side skirt where it meets the front fender.

not stock = not happening, imo (as far as badges/emblems are concerned)

At least my car is an R/T and was sold as such, unlike those with "GT0" on their asses.

eh, it's not the same as that mike, but it's not the "right" R/T badge.

kind of like the porsche "turbo" badges i've seen on a few cars. kinda neat, but I'd never consider it. it's up to you jeff. if the badge is only a couple bucks i'd be a worthwhile experiment. if you change your mind, it'd come off without paint damage in a week I'd think.

On the Internet they say, "You never get this! You never get this!" But then one day they all met in Cali and they get this.

Gate - when you say a hookup, do you mean to get these made? Or are these just OEM pieces from another car? If someone is actually machining them, would there be any interest in some custom work?

I actually removed most of the factory badging :p I just want something subtle.

My co-worker has a friend at the plant where they actually mold the plastic badges. He got a few that were defective. I've got a C6 Z06 badge on top of my PC. It looks fine, but doesn't have any of the red accents. I've also got an SRT badge off the front of a Charger. It also looks fine, but doesn't have the black background. It's all chrome.
