Put a key word in there for you. Lets remember, the Charger concept looked sweet too, and look what they did with that. Dodge wont let us down, they will once again completely screw the adoring public and make a pig out of their concept car. Chevy on the other hand, they are already creating working models. Now if the production looks like the concept then I will have a hard time deciding which car to get, guess I'll just have to test drive the hell out of them.
Sorry I mis-spoke, the actual Challenger looks amazing.

Trust me, I've seen enough of em to know ;)
My guess is Dodge has a working model of the Challenger already since they will be unveiling the production model in approx a month at the Chicago Auto Show. Also they are releasing a Challenger SRT-8 limited edition model soon too.

I will be sure to talk with my Uncle about all of this tell him what the masses think!
They have the Challenger built and working and running around the auburn hills complex, and the SRT-8 Challenger looks awsome. I'd imagine the camo is off of them already as well.

I mis-linked my earlier post. I was looking at the new challengers as well as the chargers and mixed up the links.

This is the best design for the challenger ever:

And I'd just like to add one more thing, a big reason as to why the Charger concept was so radically changed (other than the reason I gave before) is the new management that took over wanted to scale everything back and make it modular (a la the LX chasis).

There isn't going to be an LX anymore, and things have changed so there isn't much reason (imo) to think they'll do the same again. This doesn't mean however that the Charger will be a 2 door muscle car, its not meant for that (they wanted an every day muscle car, that could be versatile). You have the Challenger for the 2 door sports car, I just hope that one won't flop.

I'm unsure how you can say that without seeing a completed new one; then again you can't please everyone. They look similar, just the new ones are bigger, but still retain the same general shape.

Its not as drastic as a change as the GTO to the new GTO or old to new Charger.

Sorry to derail this topic :)

like I said, you can't improve upon perfection.
I love the challenger perfectly from 1970, and if I changed a single bit of it I couldn't think of it as the same car.

I vote for optional missile launcher/oil slick attachments personally. A nanite repair device might be pretty handy too for those occasional dings you might get. Also a HUD replacing the entire dash would be badass.

My dad regrets everyday not buying out the lease on his 71 Challenger R/T 340 with a Shaker Hood.

I dunno. I'm REALLY torn between the 70, 71, and 72.

My favorite is the 1970, and since y'all like the 71, it just makes it easier for me :)

between the 1970, 71, and 72, I have a lot of trouble too. I can usually tell by the window size/shape though.
